Rhuka Design was founded in March 2005 by Marcelo Cerdá, fully licensed architect.

For over two years Marcelo worked very closely with Liana Varini on various projects with her clients. Liana, at that time, worked in Real Estate here in Spain.

These were clients who were looking to reform or build properties. During this period Liana also commissioned Marcelo to design and build her own home.

Marcelo and Liana formed a partnership and the NEW Rhuka Design was born in March 2007.

Architect Marcelo Cerdá, graduated from the University of Buenos Aires as a fully registered Architect, on 7th August 1989 from the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urban Planning. He has worked on projects all around the world in countries including Italy, UK, Spain and of course his home country, Argentina.

Liana Varini worked in the airline industry for 15 years whilst also running a very successful interiors business from Dubai. Her business supplied high quality accessories and textiles to interior designers and architectural offices throughout the Middle East. During this time she also studied for her University Diploma in Business and Marketing, graduating with Honors.

Rhuka Design has worked on many projects, from new-builds (apartments and villas) to reform and rebuild projects (including stable blocks and picaderos).
